The new aluminium cylinder-piston kit derives from the similar unit in cast iron. To further increase the high performance of the engine, the cylinder is made in a special aluminium alloy that ensures high rigidity levels even at high temperature such the one developed under an intense use.
To obtain high dependability, the cylinder barrel features a nickel and silicon carbide coating that guarantees wear resistance. The specifi cally designed piston is made in materials that keep unaltered their mechanical and shape features even at very high temperature. Its special geometry has allowed us to obtain a light piston that reduces inertia and allows the engine to reach very high speed.
The super-fi nished piston ring, made in spheroidal graphite cast iron with chrome coating, top off this piston-cylinder assy that combines performance and dependability.
